I am based on Woodcote Valley Road in Purley, which is easily accessible by road or public transport: 10 minutes walk from Purley Station or directly on the 434-bus route.

Crisis Support

If you are concerned about an immediate risk of harm - either to yourself or someone else - then go to your local Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department or phone 999 (UK only).

Remember you can also go to your GP if you're struggling with your mental health, if you can't get an appointment phone 111 for advice.

There are also some helplines that can help you:

Samaritans - 111 123 or email [email protected] for 24-hour emotional support
ChildLine - 0800 11 11 for 24 hour confidential support for young people aged under 18 years

Below is that start of a list of books that people I, and people I have worked with, have found useful. You'll see that there are far more books listed here for children and young people, books are an excellent way of working with little people who aren't yet developmentally able to access talking therapy which is perhaps why are there are so many good ones out there. Even if you're not so young they're still helpful books as they really capture the essence of what happens for us at times of worry, anxiety or loss.
